Connotation,Performance and Teaching of Model Consciousness of Primary School Mathematics:On the Performance Goal of Core Competency
Model consciousness is a core competency that needs to be implemented in primary school mathematics course and its connotation is manifested in model as a structure and modeling as a process.The formation of model consciousness requires identifying real situation,constructing relationship of mathematization,and solving similar problems after generalization.Specifically,there are four levels of performance,including identification,representation,abstraction and generalization.To implement the consciousness,it is necessary to set performance goal based on connotation,design and implement corresponding performance tasks and apply performance assessment to core competency.In teaching,it is essential to link real situation with the focus on discovering and asking questions,experience the process of mathematization with the focus on contextual representation and abstraction,and fully use multiple representations with the focus on comparison and connection.Through this process,students can perceive the pervasive nature of model and develop model consciousness.
