On the basis of analyzing typical regional working conditions of cable engineering in the power industry,this paper provides geophysical methods suitable for different working conditions.Two cable projects are selected for applicability testing and accuracy comparison analysis of electromagnetic induc-tion method,ground penetrating radar method,and shallow seismic method.The results show that the 33kHz low-frequency induction method offers high precision and the direct method with intermediate fre-quencies of 65kHz and 83kHz has higher accuracy,while the direct method has higher accuracy than the induction method.The electromagnetic induction method has the characteristics of easy operation,real-time and rapid detection,and the highest operational efficiency.The data from ground penetrating radar and shallow seismic methods require processing and interpretation,resulting in low efficiency.
