Application of Earthquake Shear Wave Reflection Method and High-density Resistivity Method in Urban Geological Investigation of a City
Earthquake shear wave reflection method and high-density resistivity method are two common geophysical methods, which are widely used in urban geotechnical investigations, such as geologic divi-sion,geological structures and special medium detection.By employing these two geophysical methods,an investigation is conducted in a rejection area of a certain city. The analysis and interpretation of the shear wave reflection and high-density resistivity profiles provide information on the electrical properties and seismic wave velocities of each soil and rock layer.Combined with the stratigraphic profile data from the peripheral engineering investigation, the investigation effectively identifies the soil layer classification and the undulation of the bedrock surface, providing a scientific geological basis for the city's engineering investigation.
