Current knowledge to auto-dissemination strategies of entomopathogen combined with semiochemicals
Entomopathogen is an important tool in Integrated Pest Management(IPM).However,their unstable,slow killing activities and low dissemination reduce their applications.Auto-dissemination is defined as'the use of insects to introduce and spread entomopathogens in the ecosystem',which increases entomopathogen delivery and accurate control effects.It's one of the potential technologies for developing entomopathogen application strategies.In this article,we provide an overview on current knowledge of auto-dissemination strategies based on semiochemicals here and abroad.The mechanisms,types of entomopathogen,target pests and devices of auto-dissemination were summarized here.In addition,the future development trend of this technology was prospected,aiming at providing a new idea for promoting entomopathogen application in pest biological control.
