An analysis of geologic setting and major issues of mines in Shanhu W-Sn mining area is carried out.It is presented that the primary harmful geologic and ecologic issues are waste residue and rocks,damage to the soil,loss of soil and water,environmental contamination and severe geologic hazard such as potential collapse,landslide and mud-rock flow.In light of these issues,some recovery measurements are proposed,such as preparation of land,restoration of vegetation and construction of floodway channels.
