This paper summarizes the relevant data of strata,geological structure,hydrogeology and so on in Nanchang Red Basin.From the aspects of cover layer,basement structure and evolution of Red Basin,it an-alyzes the characteristics of geological structure,geothermal field,thermal reservoir and geothermal forma-tion condition in Nanchang Red Basin area,and it is predicted that there might be the geothermal potential in Nanchang Red Basin area.The theoretical basis is provided for the exploration for geothermal target areas in Nanchang Red Basin.
