Geological features and metallogenic regularity of the Shuiquanwa bauxite deposit,Mianchi County, western Henan
The Shuiquanwa bauxite deposit located in the western ore belt of the main aluminum(clay)-rich ore metallogenic belt in Henan, which is a proven medium-sized bauxite deposit.Through the analysis of the metallogenic geological conditions and metallogenic regularity of the deposit,it is considered that the miner-alization of bauxite is mainly controlled by the ancient geography, the ancient sedimentary environment, the basin base form composed of the ancient weathering crust at the top of the Majiagou Formation and the fault structure. The Benxi Formation is the ore-bearing strata. The metallogenic regularity is mainly as follows:the deposits are distributed on the edge of the basin on the edge of the ancient land and controlled by sedi-mentary facies, the metallogenic basin is based on the ancient weathering crust. The larger the scale of the negative terrain of the basin basement, the larger the scale of the formed bauxite ore body. And the ore bodies are enriched in the secondary depressions at the edge of the basin, which are the negative topography of the ancient weathering crust. It is a favorable area for prospecting aluminum-rich(clay)ore that karst and rock pits are more developed in the edge of the basinand the ancient terrain is relatively high.
