Ore-hosting sedimentary strata features of carbonate-siliceous-argillaceous rock uranium deposit in Southwest Guangxi
Southwest Guangxi is an important area of carbonate-siliceous-argillaceous rock uranium deposit in South China block. It has great signifiance for exploration and prospecting in this area on the relationship be-tween the sedimentary construction of uranium-bearing strata and uranium mineralization. With field geolog-ical survey and section comparison, this paper analyzes the characteristics of uranuum-producing strata and expounds the sedimengtary environment of main ore-bearing strata in different sections of uranium minerali-zation in Southwest Guangxi on the basis of summizing previous materials.Furthermore, the relationship be-tween the sedimentary formation and uranuum mineralization is summarized. The study shows that the ura-nium mineralization horizon in this area is multi-layered,but the uranium mineralization in different zones is specific to the horizon and has certain regularity in spatial distribution. The depositional environments of the main ore-bearing beds in different sections of uranium deposits area Binhai limited platform facies, shallow shelf clastic rock facies, shallow water platform facies and shallow water deeper platform basin facies. In ad-dition,the stratigraphic and sedimentary constructions have obvious control effect on uranuum mineralization in different sedimentary environments.
