Geological characteristics and genetic analysis of a fluorite deposit in Qinglong County of Guizhou
A newly discovered fluorite deposit in Qinglong County,Guizhou Province, has a large scale of de-posit.The shape of the fluorite ore body is layered, locally produced in a lens shape, with a distribution in NW-SE direction. The fluorite ore body has a striking length of 223-328 meters,a dipping depth of 313-570 meters, and a thickness of 0.79-6.65 meters, with an average thickness of 2.51 meters.Through detailed research and analysis of regional geology, mining area geology, and orebody geological characteristics,it is considered that volcanic eruption provides the source of ore-forming materials and necessary condition for the formation of fluorite deposit. The main ore-forming factors of this fluorite deposit are sedimentary basin, volcanic eruption, fold and fault structure, and ore-forming fluid.Under the combined action of these ore-forming factors,a structural alteration body(Sbt)and indicators of pyrite mineralization, silicification, and calcite alteration are formed at the unconformity interface between Permian Maokou Formation(P2m)and Emeishan Basalt Formation(P3 β).The article points out the direction for the exploration and further pros-pecting and development work in the large scale non-metallic mines.
