Soil geochemical anomaly characteristics and prospecting direction of Puke gold mining area in Xingyi County,Guizhou
Puke gold deposit is located in the peripheral area to the southwest of the famous Nibao gold depos-it,and it is in the same geotectonic environment as Nibao deposit. They have basically the similar strati-graphic characteristics and tectonic style, thus there is shown for a good geological condition of mineraliza-tion.In this paper,1∶10,000 soil geochemical survey is performed in order to explore for the prospecting potential.By analyzing the variation coefficient of elements, element enrichment dispersion characteristics of the 12 elements by soil geochemical survey in the Puke area, and cluster analysis, correlation analysis and factor analysis, this paper takes As,Sb,Cu,and Hg as the important indicator elements for ore prospecting in the area. The method of mean±3 times standard deviation is used to study the geochemical anomalies and determine the lower limits of the anomalies.Four comprehensive anomalies of important indicator ele-ments(HS-1~HS-4)are delineated.Combined with the regional metallogenic background and geological characteristics of the study area, two favorable target areas are delineated. The study result reveals the effec-tiveness of soil geochemical survey in gold exploration work in this area.
