Application of comprehensive geophysical and geochemical exploration technology in the exploration of a gold deposit in Song County,Henan
Xiongershan mining area in Henan Province is rich in gold mineral resources,and there is a great possibility of gold deposit in the exploration area.Based on the geological,structural,and ore-forming condi-tion of the exploration area,comprehensive geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques are used for ore exploration.Soil geochemical survey is conducted in the exploration area,and HT2 comprehensive anom-alies are delineated.The elemental anomaly characteristics indicate that there is a geochemical prerequisite for searching for gold deposit in the area.The geochemical anomaly contains lead zinc sulfides,and there are significant differences in the physical properties of rocks(ores).One induced polarization anomaly JD1 is de-lineated using the induced polarization gradient profile method,which has low apparent resistivity and high apparent polarization characteristics.Combined with the intensity of geochemical exploration and ore-forming element anomalies,it is speculated that the anomaly JD1 is a mineral induced anomaly.Based on the result of magnetic profiling and trench exploration engineering,it is inferred that F1 structure is an ore-bearing struc-ture.To determine the occurrence of F1 structure and the distribution pattern of the lower gold deposit body,drilling construction is arranged for verification,and two gold orebodies are discovered,with the ore type of fractured zone altered rock type.Both gold orebodies are located in the areas with good geophysical and geo-chemical anomaly in the exploration area.The comprehensive geophysical and geochemical exploration tech-nology has achieved a good prospecting result in the exploration area,and the working method can provide some reference for the surrounding exploration areas.
