Spatial distribution regularity and risk zonation of ground subsidence in Zhengzhou City
To accurately understand the spatial differentiation characteristics of ground subsidence in the mega-city of Zhengzhou and to enhance the level of risk assessment and zoning control of land subsidence, this study utilizes ground leveling data and SAR data as the primary source. It employs the natural disaster risk index and GIS spatial analysis among other methodologies. The factor layer is determined on the basis of the evaluation of land subsidence risk and vulnerability. The distribution regularity and risk zones of land subsidence in Zhengzhou City are then quantified through dimensionless processing and quantitative transfor-mation of evaluation factors. The findings indicate that ①land subsidence in the study area predominantly oc-curs in the east and central north areas, aligning closely with the groundwater funnel areas and overlapping significantly with zones of intensive urban engineering construction in recent years.②Areas with medium to high subsidence hazard are primarily located in the north and east parts of the study area, being attributable to the inherently poor primary geological condition. The vulnerability to land subsidence diminishes from the city center to the suburbs. The high vulnerability in the urban core is intimately linked to the dense popula-tion,robust economic activity, and extensive urban infrastructure development.③The risk zoning of land subsidence in Zhengzhou is categorized into three levels, low risk, lower risk, and medium risk.
