Geological characteristics and prospecting direction of the Wachuan silver deposit in Luoning County,Henan Province
The Wachuan silver deposit located in the eastern part of the Xiaoshan area in western Henan Prov-ince,is a silver lead zinc polymetallic mineralization zone.Currently,two large silver-lead-zinc polymetallic deposits have been discovered in the mineralization zone,namely Zhonghe and Laoliwan,with good prospec-ting potential.Based on a systematic review of the geological characteristics of the Wachuan silver deposit ar-ea and combined with the regional mineralization conditions,this article believes that the deposit is a low-temperature hydrothermal vein shaped silver deposit of tectonic alteration rock type.Structural alteration zones and geochemical anomalies are important prospecting indicators,and points out that the next step of prospecting is in the deep part of the F1-Ⅰ silver deposit,near EW and SN fault structures,and silver single element anomaly areas.
