Turpan has good endowment conditions for non-metallic mineral resources,with 60 types of non-metallic minerals discovered.The resource reserves are large,the ore quality is good,the distribution is rela-tively concentrated,and the exploration and mining conditions are good.On the basis of comprehensive anal-ysis of regional ore-forming geological conditions and ore-forming laws,this article has determined 16 ore de-posit types,divided them into 7 ore-forming series and 10 ore-forming subseries in the study area through da-ta collection,field geological investigation,comprehensive research on ore deposit types and ore-forming se-ries,guided by the theory of ore-forming dynamics.Based on the geological conditions of mineralization and the distribution patterns of mineral resources,4 non-metallic mineralization areas are divided in the study ar-ea,5 main mineralization periods are summarized,and 18 non-metallic prospecting prediction areas aredelin-eated.
