Construction of the political system led by the CPC:Its Path and Underlying Logic
Unlike existing research approaches,our"technical"perspective can provide a new analytical frame-work for understanding the fundamental path and underlying logic of the political system led by the Commu-nist Party of China.The basic path starts with a Leninist revolutionary party which,through overall revolution,builds up a political system with"unifying"and"governing"as the primary goals,"leading power"as its core conceptual tool,and the party's leading power dominates all areas of power.The underlying logic of the politi-cal system led by the CPC is that"leading power controls everything,"with the logical endpoint being the party's leading power unifying and controlling power across all domains.Such a underlying logic is a glaring demon-stration of the political rationality of a Leninist party which rolls party organization,associative mechanism,insti-tutional regulations,and power structure and concept into an organic whole.Comparatively speaking,the Amer-ican political system is characterized by a structural check on power,whereas the political system led by the CPC fundamentally centers on the supremacy of the party's leading power.
