From Norms to Practices:Dialogue between Whole-Process People's Democracy and Classical Social-ist Theory
The concept of"whole-process people's democracy"is not only a development of traditional demo-cratic forms in China,but also presents a new universal theory and practice of democratic politics.This article aims to reveal the Marxist theoretical foundation of whole-process people's democracy and demonstrate its theo-retical advantages under the leadership of the proletariat party.The article integrates the foundational theories of classical socialism with the practices of Chinese socialism and explores from the perspective of historical materi-alism how ideas about political economy,state forms,political order,state apparatus,and social revolution are re-flected and applied in the whole-process people's democracy.The international significance of whole-process people s democracy and its profound impact on human political civilization are also discussed.
