An Analysis of the Alcohol Enthusiasts Ruan Ji and Liu Ling Under the Influence of Wei-Jin Metaphysics
The historical period of Wei and Jin dynasties underwent a great change in the political power,ideology and culture of ancient China.During the Wei and Jin dynasties,when"eating medicine and drinking alcohol"became popular,Confucianism declined and metaphysics emerged,representative groups of scholars such as the"Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove"sprang up.In the"Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove",Ruan Ji and Liu Ling,facing the same social background and historical environment,both chose to avoid disasters,enter the underworld,and resist through alcoholism.They both described the image of"Mr.Great Man"in the articles and followed it up.However,the actions of the two individuals in reality appear to be different due to the differences in their thoughts,and lead to different outcomes in the end.
