The building site at Tianjing'an consists of five nearly square rammed-earth platforms and one giant, circular pit. From 2018 to 2019,the first excavation of the eastern and western rammed-earth platforms revealed features such as rammed-earth platforms, moats, post holes, activity surfaces, drainage systems, and brick imprints.Unearthed artifacts primarily include roof tile ends, plate tiles, tube tiles, floor bricks,double-eared cups, and pottery jars, dating predominantly to the mid-late Western Han period. The construction and occupation periods of the five rammed-earth platforms are estimated to be concentrated in the mid-late Western Han,and are thus inferred to be the"Shrine for Five Emperors"recorded in the Book of Han.
