From 2018 to 2019,Department of Archaeology and Museology,Henan University et al.conducted excavations at the Yanzhai site in Yuzhou City.Longshan culture period remains include various types of features,including three rows of row houses,midden pits,midden ditches,tombs,and kiln,etc.Unearthed artifacts consist of a significant quantity of pottery and stone objects.The temporal span of these remains covers the Longshan culture period in the Central Plains,with particular high quantity present from the early Longshan culture with an absolute dating range of 2250-1750 BC.The Longshan culture settlement uncovered during these excavations has provided valuable data for investigation of small to medium-sized settlements and their interactions with central settlements.
