In the year 2020,archaeological excavations were conducted at the Helong Erdui site. This site includes remains of two cultural periods. The first period represents Bronze Age remains with dwellings as the prevailing features.Artifacts mainly include tubular pottery vessels with slanted bellies and straight sides. Some pottery is adorned symmetrically with nipple-like knobs, suggesting similarity to the cultural attributes of late Liutingdong remains. The second period dates to the early Iron Age,comprising features such as dwellings, pits, hearths, and artifacts predominately made of pottery, alongside a small number of objects made of stone and iron,as well as Eastern Han Wu Zhu coins and a substantial amount of smelting slag attributed to the Tuanjie culture. The discovery of this site contributes significantly to understanding of the living and production practices of residents during the Bronze and Iron Ages in the Tumen River basin.
