Study on Solidification Process Simulation of Q355NE Extra Heavy Steel Slab
The thickness and surface temperature of the solidification shell measured by the Nail Shooting Method and infrared temperature measurement are used as the validation of the calculation results of the solidification model for the Q355NE extra heavy steel slab with a cross-section of(475 ×2 000)mm.ProCAST software is used to simulate the solidification heat transfer process,and the effects of different casting speeds,superheat and specific water flow on the temperature field of the continuously cast slab and the solidification endpoint are analyzed.The results show that,compared with the effects of superheat and specific water flow,the casting speed is of a greater influence on the solidifi-cation endpoint and temperature field.For every 0.05 m/min increase in casting speed,the solidification endpoint is shifted back by about 4.54 m.The central temperature of the continuously cast slab after complete solidification increa-ses by about 81 ℃.When the specific water flow decreases by 10%,the solidification endpoint of the continuously cast slab moves back about 0.33 m.With the superheat increasing by 5℃,the solidification endpoint of the continuously cast slab moves back about 0.38 m.
