Study on Composite Rolling Process of Extra Heavy Bridge Steel Plate Q345qD-Z35
The extra heavy bridge steel plates have extremely high requirements for material strength, impact toughness,Z-direction performance, flaw detection grade and overall uniformity.Due to the limitation of thickness of the original continuous casting slab, the acceptability of the finished products is relatively low when using the continuous casting slab to produce the finished products directly. The 120 mm thickness bridge steels Q345qD-Z35 are produced by using vacuum composite rolling technology of continuous casting billet and applying three different rolling and heat treatment processes.Through the characterization and comparative analysis of the mechanical properties and microstruc-ture of the steel plate under three process conditions, the results show that the strength, impact toughness,Z-direction properties and microstructure uniformity of the finished steel plate produced by off-line quenching and normalizing process are optimized.
