Cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized strip steel is widely used in the field of home appliance manufactur-ing,the surface strip defects of the strip steel seriously affect the appearance quality of the high-end home appliance panel,resulting in an increase of rejected and defected product rate.Based on the existing research result,the formation causes of the defects are analyzed by observing the microscopic morphology of the surface strip defects on cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized strip steel,which deems the longitudinal cracks in the slabs leading to such strip defects and deter-mines the causes of the longitudinal cracks of the slabs.The corresponding optimization measures are taken,which ef-fectively resolves the slab longitudinal cracking problem leading to the surface strip defect on strip steel at source.
