The Relationship between Medical Students'Introversion-Extroversion Personality Traits and Professional Identity——The Multiple Mediations between Crisis Frangibility and Meaning in Life
In post-epidemic era,the value of medical workers to society has attracted increasing attention,so the talents cultivation should be further explored.Based on Personality-Job Fit Theory and"Stress-Fragility"Model,this study explored and verified the multiple mediating mechanism model of medical students'introversion-extroversion personality traits and professional identity with crisis frangibility and meaning in life as mediating variables.Using network questionnaire survey,we selected 204 medical students from several universities in China as samples for data analysis,and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)Medical students'extroversion personality traits positively affect professional identity,and their extroversion personality traits negatively affect professional identity;(2)Medical students'meaning in life partially mediates the relationship between extroversion personality traits and professional identity;(3)Medical students'crisis frangibility and meaning in life play a partial chain mediating role between extroversion personality traits and professional identity,in the meanwhile,they also play a complete chain mediating role between introversion personality traits and professional identity;(4)For extroversion personality traits,the independent mediation effect of medical students'meaning in life is significantly greater than the chain mediation effect of crisis frangibility and meaning in life.The research result provides assistance for medical students to explore their career and cultivate social medical talents.
