How Does Government Trust Affect the Public's Intention to Use Remors?———An Empirical Research Based on Community Level of Public Health Emergencies
In the face of public health events,controlling rumors has become a research hotspot.Most of the existing research combined government trust,information disclosure and rumor governance from the theoretical level.However,it is not clear how government trust is formed and how it affects the intention of public rumors to be used.Taking the COVID-19 as the research context,this study conducted a survey in the X community of H City.Based on the integration and expansion of the causal chain model,the influence of the public's government trust on the intention of rumor use behavior was examined by issuing a questionnaire.The study concluded that government trust has a direct impact on crisis perception,crisis acceptance and rumor use behavior intention,and the indirect regression path between government trust and rumor use behavior intention is established.It has practical guiding significance for enhancing the credibility of the government,building a public opinion prevention and control system,and modernizing the emergency management system.
