Fault Tolerance Shapes Autonomy and Innovation———The Impact of Inclusive Leadership on Employee Innovation Performance
Modern organizational management emphasizes people-oriented principles,and inclusive leadership theory is gradually emerging,which is highly compatible with the core of traditional Chinese culture.However,research on inclusive leadership in China is not yet well developed,and the relevant theories lack localized verification.Based on social information processing theory,this study explored the intrinsic mechanism of inclusive leadership on employees'innovation performance in the Chinese context,mediated by job autonomy and moderated by the organisation's error management climate.By analyzing the questionnaires of 500 employees in enterprises and institutions,this study pointed out that:(1)Inclusive leadership positively affected employees'innovation performance;(2)Autonomy of work methods,scheduling and criteria were important mediators between them;(3)Error management climate moderated the relationship between inclusive leadership and work criteria autonomy,and enhanced inclusive leadership's positive predictive role.These fingdings enriched the theory related to inclusive leadership and innovation performance,extended explorations related to error management climate,enriched leadership and organisational innovation research,and provided practical references for innovation management in modern organizations.
