With the increasing human space launch activities, there are more and more space targets in orbit. These space targets inevitably undergo disintegration events such as explosion and collision, and disintegration events will generate a large amount of space debris to form debris clouds. This article explores the orbital lifetime distribution of a large number of debris clouds generated by the disintegration of space targets. This is the first international study on the orbital lifetime of disintegrated debris clouds. The research results indicate that a large number of debris with orbital lifetimes exceeding 25 years may also exist in the debris clouds generated by the disintegration of space targets in near earth orbit. The research results of this article have reference value for space traffic management, response and disposal of space traffic accidents, radar space debris detection, and space situational awareness.
