A Study on the Application of Case-based Teaching in the Field of New Energy—Taking the Course"New Energy Development and Environment"as An Example
"New Energy Development and Environment"is a required course in our school's new energy major,which teaches the basic properties,development methods,and corresponding environmental issues of a series of new energy sources such as geo-thermal energy,unconventional gas energy,solar energy,wind energy,and nuclear energy.Compared with traditional energy cour-ses,the main characteristic of new energy courses is reflected in the"new"aspect,meaning that the development of some new en-ergy sources is still in the exploratory stage,lacking a mature theoretical system and technical methods.This poses great difficulty in teaching and understanding these courses,which is generally reflected in the difficulty for teachers to lecture and for students to comprehend.In response to these issues,this paper discusses how to apply case-based teaching to the course.In the implementation process,appropriate cases from new energy development practices are first integrated into the course content,and then through the explanation of these cases,students can learn more intuitively,deepen their understanding,and achieve goals such as establishing confidence in professional development and fostering a spirit of patriotism.
