In the data-driven scientific research and innovation environment,data plays a crucial role and has become an im-portant pillar of the scientific research and innovation process.The role of data retrieval and acquisition,processing and analysis,application and sharing,data ethics and norms in scientific research and innovation activities is becoming increasingly significant.This article investigates the data literacy education practices of well-known foreign university libraries,analyzes the impact of data literacy on scientific research and innovation processes,and proposes that university libraries should strengthen data awareness cul-tivation to enhance scientific research innovation capabilities,focus on data skills training to help solve scientific research innova-tion problems,and build a data management platform to promote the concept of data sharing.
