Research on the Impact of Digital Transformation on the Innovation Performance of Listed Manufacturing Enterprises
Implementing digital transformation is an important path for manufacturing enterprises to a-chieve innovation.Based on a sample of 2,142 manufacturing listed companies on the A-share market in Shanghai and Shenzhen,China,from 2007 to 2022,this paper makes an empirical study to examine the impact of digital transformation on the innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises,and an-alyzes region and property heterogeneity.The findings show that digital transformation has a significant positive effect on the innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises;compared with the western region,the positive impact is more obvious in the eastern and central regions of China;and such a pos-itive impact is significant in both state-owned and private enterprises,and but it has a more prominent driving role in state-owned enterprises.The robustness test shows that these conclusions are reliable.Finally,this paper proposes relevant suggestions from the perspective of enterprises and the govern-ment.
