Construction and Application of Ecological-Economic Input-Output Table:A Case Study of Beijing City
As China bolsters,its investment in ecological and environmental construction,the rise of ecology-related industries is considered a potential area for economic growth.However,the current national economic accounting system does not classify the ecological industry as an independent sector or account for the ecological service value contributed to environmental improvement.Taking Beijing as the research area,the input-output analysis method was used to distinguish the ecological industry for the first time.It includes the value of ecosystem services in the calculation to assess its contribution to the national economy.The findings indicate that the ecological industry positively affects the socioeconomic dynamic,with an influence coefficient of 1.017.Investments in the ecological industry effectively promote public service sectors such as water conservation and the environment,as well as directly benefiting industries like real estate,hospitality,and entertainment while contributing less to manufacturing and other service industries.Looking at the overall national economy,ecological investments have significantly advanced the education and finance sectors,with each unit of ecological investment potentially increasing the regional GDP by 1.318 times.
