ADAMS-based Simulation on Traveling System of the Bridge Erector for Extra-long and Extra-wide Girder
With the increasing demand for highway bridge construction, the bridge erectors for extra-long and extra-wide girder highway bridge has been increasingly used in the process of highway bridge erection and construction.A rigid-flexible coupling simulation study of the travel system is conducted for a bridge erector for extra-long and extra-wide girder bridge with a width of 10.9 meters.By dividing the spanning process of the bridge erector for extra-long and extra-wide girder bridge into steps, and SolidWorks,ANSYS,and ADAMS software are used to jointly establish a virtual prototype model of the travel system of the bridge erector for extra-long and extra-wide girder bridge and simulate the spanning process, the maximum stress of the main beam of the bridge erector travel system in the spanning process is obtained. The maximum stress point of the main girder is 162.4 MPa during the second forward movement of the rear leg No.1,which provides a basis for improving the construction procedures, determining the construction monitoring points, and reducing the construction safety risks.
