One of the main functions of university libraries is educational functions,which play an important role in ideological and political education.There are many research achievements in the field of Ideological and political education in university libraries with theoretical and practical significance.However,there are few quantitative studies in this field.At the same time,faced with a large amount of literature,traditional literature analysis methods cannot present the development law and research frontier of the research topic in a quantified form.In view of this,the method of bibliometrics and CiteSpace visualization software are adopted,532 relevant research documents on ideological education in university libraries are selected from the CNKI(China National Knowledge Internet)database as sample data.Quantitative and visual analysis on the aspects of the number of articles,journal distribution,author distribution,institution distribution,keyword co-occurrence,keyword clustering,and keyword burst are conducted.The research shows that the development of ideological and political education in university libraries is in an upward stage,but there is no obvious cooperation network between authors and institutions,and research strength is relatively scattered.The paper publishing area shows an unbalanced phenomenon of"more in the east and less in the west".The research focuses on college students,university libraries,ideological education,and educational functions.Under the requirements of the new era,university library labor education and"three all-round education"work have helped Ideological and political education has become research frontiers.Based on the current problems in this field,future development suggestions are proposed.
