Impact of Industrial Structure Optimization on China's Carbon Emissions from the Perspective of Economic Development
Exploring the impact of industrial structure optimization on carbon emissions from the perspective of economic development is conducive to the green and low-carbon development of China's economy.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces(due to the lack of data, the statistical data mentioned here do not include the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province)in China from 2006 to 2021,the relationship between industrial structure optimization and carbon emissions from the perspective of economic development was studied by using the threshold model and dividing industrial structure optimization into two aspects of rationalization and upgrading. The research shows that both the rationalization of industrial structure and the upgrading of industrial structure have significant inhibitory effects on carbon emissions. The level of economic development makes the optimization of industrial structure have a single threshold effect on carbon emissions. When the level of economic development crosses the threshold,it can enhance the inhibition of industrial structure rationalization on carbon emissions, but weaken the effect of industrial structure upgrading on carbon emissions reduction.
