Impact of Digital Economy on Water Resources Utilization Efficiency:Taking 73 Prefecture-level Cities in the Yellow River Basin as an Example
In order to explore the internal relationship between digital economy and water resources utilization efficiency in the Yellow River Basin,based on the data of 73 prefecture-level cities in the Yellow River basin from 2011 to 2019,the super-efficiency SBM model was used to measure the water resources utilization efficiency of each city.The individual fixed effect and intermediary effect model were used to empirically analyze the influence and mechanism of digital economy on water resources utilization efficiency in the Yellow River Basin.The results show that the development of digital economy can significantly improve the water resources utilization efficiency in the Yellow River Basin,showing an inverted U-shaped nonlinear influence relationship on the whole.Green technology innovation plays an intermediary role in the process of digital economy improving water resource utilization efficiency in the Yellow River Basin.Accordingly,it is suggested to develope the digital economy appropriately to promote the coordinated development of digitalization and greening.
