Mechanical and Crushing Characteristics of Waste Incineration Slag in Triaxial Test
The research object is slag produced by a domestic waste incineration plant in Shanghai. The chemical composition of the waste incineration slag was obtained by X-ray fluorescence spectrum analysis. Then, triaxial tests were performed on the slag in dry state, and slag particles were screened after the tests. The mechanical and crushing characteristics of slag in triaxial tests were obtained. Finally, the triaxial test data and direct shear test data were compared, the strength index and particle crushing degree of slag in different tests were analyzed, and the crushing rates of slag particle were quantitatively described. It is shown that when the surrounding pressure of triaxial test reaches a certain value, the crushing rate generated by shear will no longer increase, all particles on the shearing surface are broken at this time. That is,if the triaxial test is performed with greater surrounding pressure, the actual increase is only the compression crushing rate.
