Mode and Path of Proof-of-Concept Center Construction:Based on the Practice of Proof-of-Concept Construction in Hangzhou
The proof-of-concept center(PoCC)aims to fill the gap between research and commercial applications,and improve the speed of the transformation of research results from concepts to the market,as well as reduce the risks and uncertainties of the transformation research results,which can help researchers cross the"death valley"of entrepreneurship.Based on the practice of PoCC in foreign countries and regions such as the United States,the European Union and the Singapore,the achievements of the PoCC construction in Hangzhou are summarized,and its construction mode and path are explored from multiple perspectives of government support,industrial distribution,construction entities,funding sources,and verification services.In addition,the problems and shortcomings in the construction of its PoCC are analyzed.Finally,based on summarizing the experience of Hangzhou,some strategies and suggestions are proposed for PoCC to improve their operating quality and keep pace with their international peers.
