A Review of Research on Recoverable Functional Earthquake Resistant Structures
The earthquake resilient structures possess outstanding recovery deformation capacity and good energy dissipation capacity, while also have a high efficiency of repair. It is a type of structure with high seismic resilience.Compared with other seismic-resistant structures, the prominent advantage of earthquake resilient structures is that their residual deformation after strong earthquakes is small or even zero. This feature can effectively guarantee the post-earthquake function of individual structures and has an important driving role in the construction of resilient cities. Therefore, research on earthquake resilient structures has become a hot topic in earthquake engineering in recent years.Through adopting different technical means and key materials, the academic community has proposed various forms of earthquake resilient structures and carried out systematic theoretical analysis, indoor experiments, and numerical simulation research. In view of this, the research progress of self-resetting structures was reviewed, summarizes the important achievements were summarized and key technologies already were obtained, and the future research direction and application prospects of earthquake resilient structures were prospected.
