Analysis and Treatment of Abnormal Noise in a 500 kV HGIS Circuit Breaker
The short-term abnormal noise process of a 500 kV hybrid gas insulated switchgear(HGIS)circuit breaker in centre 500 kV substation during hot standby state was outlined.Routine inspections, mechanical characteristic tests,SFegas composition analysis,ultra-high frequency and ultrasonic partial discharge testing,X-ray imaging were conducted on the maintenance site of the circuit breaker. It Is found that the internal transmission arm structure Is abnormal and some components Are detached. The disassembly upon returning to the factory and diagnostic maintenance tests on the transmission structure, voltage balancing capacitor, arc contact, has shown that the failure to assemble the circlip retaining ring of the transmission shaft in place is the fundamental reason for the formation of abnormal noise. Finally,an analysis and summary of the causes and handling processes of the abnormal noise are analyzed and summarized, and targeted suggestions and measures are proposed.
