Based on population and economic statistical data,the spatial distribution relationship between population and economy in Sichuan Province from 2008 to 2022 was studied and explored using methods such as geographic concentration,consistency coefficient,regional center of gravity,and spatial autocorrelation.The results are as follows.The population and economic geographical concentration in Sichuan Province show an overall spatial distribution pattern of"high in the east and low in the west",with significant regional development disharmony.The population center and economic center of Sichuan Province exhibit a relatively deviated distribution characteristic and deviate from the geometric center of gravity.The agglomeration trend of population and economic distribution in Sichuan Province is not strong,and the correlation is relatively weak.Realizing coordinated development between regional population and economy faces enormous challenges.
