The high-quality development of the economy cannot be separated from the coordinated development of population,economy,society,resources,and environment.Taking the nine provinces in the Yellow River Basin as the research region,a comprehensive indicator system for the systems of population,economy,society,resources,and environment was constructed.The entropy method and the coupling coordination degree model were used to calculate the sustainable development index of the Yellow River Basin and the coupling coordination degree of the five major systems.The grey correlation degree model was employed to explore the main factors impacting the coupling coordination of the Yellow River Basin.The results show that the overall systems of population,economy,society,resources,and environment in the Yellow River Basin have reached basic coordination.Some provinces are still experiencing mild disequilibrium,while others are transitioning from mild disequilibrium to basic coordination.The resource system is found to be strongly correlated with the Yellow River Basin,and the other systems are also found to be strongly correlated.It is currently indicated that the coupling and coordination degree between the resource system and the Yellow River Basin is strong,and the same is true for the other systems.
