Impact of Digitalization of the Service Industry on the Income Gap between Urban and Rural Residents
Using 274 prefecture level and above cities in China from 2013 to 2022 as research samples,the impact of digital transformation of the service industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents was empirically tested based on fixed effect models and intermediary effect models.Research has shown that digitalization of the service industry can significantly narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents,and its effect on narrowing the income gap between urban and rural residents has regional heterogeneity.The upgrading of industrial structure has played a partial mediating role in the impact of digitalization of the service industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents.
