Based on the panel data of 16 cities in Shandong Province from 2001 to 2022,a dynamic panel model was constructed to empirically analyze how the quality of tourism development affects the level of urban-rural integration in Shandong Province.The results show that the quality of tourism development has a significant positive impact on the development level of urban-rural integration in Shandong Province,and the conclusion is still valid after endogenous and robustness and tests.The quality of tourism development of typical tourist cities in Shandong Province has a significantly stronger role in promoting urban-rural integration than that of non-typical tourist cities,and the promotion role of quality of tourism development in Shandong Province from 2001 to 2010 is significantly weaker than that from 2011 to 2022.Finally,targeted recommendations are proposed based on the research findings.
