Impact of Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration Development Strategy on Urban Land Use Efficiency
Based on the panel data of the Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration from 2011 to 2020,the difference-in-differences model was used to investigate the impact of the development strategy of the Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration on urban land use efficiency.The results show that the development strategy of the Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration can significantly improve urban land use efficiency,and this conclusion has been verified through various robustness tests.A heterogeneity analysis found that the strategy has a significant positive effect on enhancing urban land use efficiency in large cities,while there is no apparent policy effect in small and medium-siZed cities.Additionally,the promotional effect of the policy on urban land use efficiency is stronger in Guangxi,followed by Guangdong,and not significant in Hainan.
