Abstract
Sometimes,most of us consider autumn as an indication of death.However,we must admit that autumn is also attractive and lively especially after reading To Autumn written by John Keats.In his writing,autumn is not only a beautiful season but also a reflection of human's life golden years.This paper is aimed at interpreting the connections between autumn and life by analyzing the chronological order,descriptive objects and the use of personification in the poem.From the temporal evolution,we will know what our life is like;from the descriptive objects,we will see different situations and meet in the future;from the application of personification,we can learn how to face and handle everything calmly.Apart from the analysis,I also add my translation to the paper,based on my understanding of the poem and the translation by Mr.Zha①.
