The contradiction between "traditional Chinese" and "simplified Chinese" has long been expanding for over 60 years since the "Simplified Chinese character table" published in 1956.As time goes on,the cultural connection between Mainland Chinese and the people from Hong Kong,Macau,Tai Wan as well as overseas are intertwining into a dramatic inseparable entity,in which Chinese characters are becoming a carrier of science,global business and popular culture.This article is based on the historical background of Simplified Chinese and the proposal of having Traditional Chinese Class in our mainland schools,as well as the coexistence of two different Chinese forms in the future.
