Research on the impact of FDA on the escort support electronic jamming
This paper analyzes the influence of the"bending"characteristics of the radiation beam of frequen-cy diverse array(FDA)radar on the process of electronic support aircraft carrying out escort support electronic jamming missions.Firstly,an FDA radar structural model is established. On this basis is also analyzed the influ-ence of FDA radar direction finding deception performance on the direction finding and alignment process of ene-my jammer antennas,as well as the suppression effect of FDA radar on the escort support interference by jam-mers.The analysis results indicate that FDA radar can cause angle measurement errors in passive direction finding systems, which in turn affects the spatial coverage of interfering transmitting antennas over interfering receiving antennas, and that meanwhile, the FDA-based adaptive beamformer can effectively suppress the accompanying support interference emitted by electronic warfare aircraft, thereby achieving the detection and tracking of penetra-tion formations.
