Measurement and verification method for P-band background scattering coefficient
Airborne P-band synthetic aperture radar(SAR)is widely used in military target unmasking and civil jungle terrain survey because of its penetration characteristics. In view of the fact that the existing literature rarely involves the value of this band within the range of 10°~20°of small taildownangle.Starting from the per-spective of radar system design and flight results verification, this paper uses the airborne platform to obtain a P-band 1 m resolution image with large width, high precision and low taildownangle, and then according to the processing method of imaging results inversion, presents a calculation method for the backscattering coefficient of typical ground objects. Finally, the flight data is employed to verify that the data obtained by the proposed method can provide support for the equivalent backscattering selection of P-band radar system.
