The construction of the public cultural system in university libraries involves the interaction and integration between libraries,teachers,students,and communities.It not only affects the cultural inheritance and academic atmo-sphere within universities,but also relates to the interaction and symbiosis between universities and society.This paper elaborates on the current situation of public cultural system construction in university libraries and the advanced experi-ence of public cultural system construction in domestic and foreign university libraries.It analyzes the shortcomings of pub-lic cultural system construction in university libraries and proposes countermeasures and suggestions to expand the service function and social influence of university libraries.
