Study on the Validity of the"Multiple Labeling"in the CSSCI Journal of Economics
In view of the phenomenon of"multiple labeling"in journal papers,this paper collects the funding data and citation data of CSSCI papers from 2018-2022,and discusses the influence of funding on the quality of papers through correlation analysis and marginal effect analysis.It is found that there is only a weak positive correlation between the number of funds and the types of funds and the number of paper citations.Marginal effect analysis shows that there is substitution effect among multiple funds,but the complementary effect is not obvious.Therefore,the validity of"multiple labeling"cannot be tested theoretically.In practice,it is suggested that the fund management department should avoid over-funding according to the effectiveness of fund funding,and the journal editorial department should also avoid select-ing papers only on the basis of the amount of fund.
